Maybe they'll be better than the RISE in warwick already?

I don't see how. It's literally gonna be all the same stuff, just moved to a new location. The only thing that will be better is the parking situation.

Maybe if the management is different? Or is it just gonna be moving the staff as well?

Funny you mention that, because most of the long time management left a little over a month ago because of what corporate was doing. So there are probably new store managers at this point but all the problems are coming from corporate. You know how everyone is saying the miss when it was summit? Well all the people who made summit good have basically been driven out by RISE corporate.

Ah damn that sucks. I have only shopped there once so far and had a middling experience but have seen loads of people complain about the quality of service since they began recreational sales. They will have competition close by at least.

Yea, Solar is opening a new store in Warwick this month so that's a good thing. Things definitely went down after recreational sales started but the problems started before that with corporate taking over important things like the menu and changing other things around.

It’s been dogshit since rec became a thing.

I’m a medical patient…I put my order in online, wait for the message that it’s ready, and our line is getting lapped by the rec users because they have four budtenders doing their orders to our one.

I’ve been sticking to the drive through at Slater lately.

Corporate cannabis is awful, hopefully the RI program changes at some point so we can purchase directly from caregivers.

From best to worst dispensary in the state after the name change. I live 5 min away and won’t go there after the numerous problems I’ve had there. I miss all the old Summit employees. At this point until more options open up outside of Mother Earth everything in RI is the same. I drive 35 min to Cosmopolitan in Fall River of Northeast Alternative bc even with my medical card here it’s still so much cheaper in mass. Corporate Cannabis in RI is going exactly how I thought it would so far and it’s a damn shame. I’m a person? I’m not trying to be sorted through a line like cattle in an Apple Store.

Damn, I have been really hoping NEA opens up a place in RI, they'd make a goddamn killing.

RISE inventory management system is horrible, every time I go in I get pre-rolls and there is always one that is out of stock but allows me to put it in the cart. Nova once they run out it is listed as sold out and you cannot add it to the cart. I stopped going to RISE because I was tired of getting to the cashier to pay for my product only to be told they dont have something and offer a substitute that I dont know any information about.

That's because corporate took control of the menu. When it was summit, they had direct control of the website and took stuff off as soon as it ran out. Now when it runs out, they gotta send an message to corporate and they pull it down when they feel like it. I remember seeing stuff still on the menu that we ran out of days ago.

Man that is so frustrating! Happy to hear background on why this issue keeps occurring. Like literally happens every-time I go LOL. The employees at RISE are excellent though so my complaint is not with them. They do the best they can with what is provided to them shame on corporate!

Automotivematt t1_jc7xrci wrote

I completely agree. I hated having to constantly apologize to customers because we didn't have what they wanted. And so many times I was told "but it's still on the menu" and I had to explain why things were messed up. It's just shocking to me that they still can't get it right. The employees in store are all amazing, they just gotta deal with the problems caused by the higher ups.

My first and only time there I experienced this exact thing. They then tried to sell me a comparable product for a higher price. I walked out and have never returned.

I've only ever had good experience with RISE, at least as far as staff goes, some bud has been hit or miss though. What are some of the issues some folks have experienced that they find RISE to be the worst? Genuinely curious.

Hope they are going to have 2 locations, the one on JB is really convenient for me.

They definitely aren't going to have two locations. I used to work at rise and they were telling us since December that we were moving locations.

I worked there when it was still Summit and they said the same thing for months lol. This is like 2 years ago.
