Yeah. I signed a contract with them and waited almost a year for the install. 1 week after they were supposed to install my system I got a call from the sales manager and the owner. The owner told me he was losing a lot of money on my project and that I had 2 choices. I could pay him thousands more or he was going to refund me the thousands I had already paid him that he had been sitting on for months and unilaterally break the contract. I suggested a 3rd option, that I would sue and then, after the court ordered him to honor the contract, I would motherfuck his company any chance I got. They installed my system a week later.

All these companies are the same. They do some paperwork and have a 3rd party installer do the heavy lifting. The price and convenience is all that really matters. If they can do it cheapest, go for it, but in my opinion they aren’t worth the headache.

Personally I wouldn't bother with sunergy. I had solar installed ground install, needless to say it was two years in the waiting and with my power consumption levels being what they are, the difference, which they assured me would be a significant savings is less than promised.

Go check out the website Energy Sage. It's one of those sites where you request a info and will get competing quotes. We ended up with a great company. Most of the time they spent was fighting NGrid over the size of the system, which the Grid kept denying for being too big.

Have you talked to SunWatt or SolPower? They’re both local companies who do the work themselves vs. subcontracting it. I don’t know if either does ground-level installs, but it might be worth reaching out.

Honestly at this point I might give up. Seems like the field is full of charlatans looking to make a fast Buck off incentives.

So ground installations typically require at least an acre of land in order to get approval, if it is through the state’s REG program.

Unless you have a sizable amount of space in your lawn, I doubt most companies will be able to do anything.

Projects have to be inspected by the utility company to be cleared for safety purposes, which is why they require a large plot of land.

Apex Solar out of NY state. Strange. I had my first quote, which was from them, in about 2 hours. Overnight, I had 5 or 6 more, and total had 10+/-. Could be crazy demand right now, could be labor shortage, or could be the type of project you want to do.

Yeah I was wondering if it was because I didn’t need financing. Thought maybe it’s less enticing to them if they can’t make a profit on the loan.

I worked for them, it was hell. Left after 6 days. Listen to this guy
