Let’s be honest with ourselves, Dan McKee has all the appearances of being crooked as hell. I’m not saying Ashley is any better, the optics with Dan are not good however. The real problem is, the wrong people are running for office. More and more races from the national level all the way down to the local level I look at and ask myself, “is this the best we can do for candidates“?

Yeah McKee is garbage. There's no universe in which I vote for a Republican in 2022 but dear god McKee is just a shitty candidate.

It truly is sad that we only have those two candidates to choose from, I realize they were others but they stand no chance of winning. I’m with you, there isn’t any Republican going to get my vote.

This is a perfect example of why our two party system doesn't work

Nellie Gorbea was a pretty decent candidate and would have made a great Governor.

I’m sad her turnout was so low. I was excited to have her as Governor

It’s not the best we can do, but it’s all we can afford

We have had great candidates fail to win primaries or third party candidates not get any attention.

But we cannot afford to out fund the donors who want the status quo to become more status quoyer

He appears to be pretty corrupt and she’s a carpetbagger. It’s an awesome election!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again thank your fellow Rhode Islanders who decided to sit out on this year‘s primaries. Elections have consequences.

I wish smaller third party candidates could get some debate time. The rules are stacked against anyone that isn’t 1. Rich 2. Already a career politician.

There was a primary and there absolutely were better candidates but this is what the majority of primary voters and the fptp system gave us
