Parents should be involved in their kids education. It doesn't mean they get to tell every parent what is right for their kids too or pitch a fit because the class has a trans kid or the teacher is gay or a book in the library was about a gay person.

The groups pushing these things are astroturfed right wing hate groups that recruit a few lunatics in each district to try and turn it into a wave against people they don't like. Many of the most outspoken people at school board meetings anymore don't even have kids in the school system in that district.
