Thank you for your kind words and the offer to help. I appreciate it. I can absorb the cost but it severely affects my savings rate and I’ll have to cut down on some other expenses.

I’m fine with the hate, but I just hope people can open their eyes and see that it is not something that is unavoidable. We have one of the largest natural gas reserves on the world, even with siphoning some to Europe.

But since the industry has been privatized, profiteering has made all the CEOs blame the Ukraine war and political policies to purposely inflate the prices when they don’t really need to be. We the middle class are the ones paying for their brownie points to their shareholders.

Maybe the govt is partially to blame but it’s the corporates that lobby to them and swing policies in their favor for increasing prices. I don’t expect people on here to hear what I say but one can only wish.

Ughh, I don’t have the energy to explain this again. It’s so much more complicated then what you describe and the cost increases aren’t coming from corporate greed or the war in Ukraine. The US is literally pumping out NG as fast as possible.

The cost to get that NG out of the ground and deliver it to your house or your closest generation station is the problem.
