Ironically, "Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone" was 1st released in Theaters on 14 November 2001. 14 Days "After" Halloween. Following that, not one of the Harry Potter Books or Movies have ever been released in October. WTH!

My guess is they were timing US releases for either the Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays since those are associated with larger audiences and higher ticket revenue.
