Since Black Bear (Hula Hanks), this place has been a multitude of failures in this spot. Hope something survives as it's so unclear why this location can't attract any restaurant with longevity to Columbus Park. The city has to make this more pedestrian friendly but it's a bus route so it will never be car free but it should. Same issue with the Japanese Hibachi spot that has been vacant across the street between Riviera Maya and Noches de Colombia.

The latest downtown fatalities were Betto Sushi which lasted less than 6 months next door to Liberty Tax on the other corner and Tamarindo Latin American on Atlantic Street at Landmark Square.

I wonder if the failure rate is so high because of the size of the place. It’s huge. I’d imagine the rent is quite high.

Yes, look at the space at Harbor Point that was once World of Beer is still empty 6 years later and look inside when you are at Sign of the Whale or Bareburger as they never even emptied out the place when it closed landlord BLT just locked the doors and didn't let them back in.
