Why does someone always make a comment like this when an article involving a zoo is shared? Zoos are not like that anymore. The animals are not in cages and they are well taken care of.

This is all these animals have ever known. Many zoos are actively involved in conversation efforts and habitat restoration.

I went to a zoo in Texas, and there were bears in cement enclosures that just paced back and forth and back and forth. It looked awful. I think animals ought to be wild. That same zoo had a single hyena in an enclosure, which I can only relate to solitary confinement. Once you see zoos like that, they all seem like prisons for animals.

Ok great you saw a shitty zoo. Well done. Now please visit one that isn't shit and acknowledge that certified, accredited zoos provide animals with happy lives while playing an important role in preserving endangered species.
