Mammoths are neat and all, but this world is even less hospitable to them than it was when they went extinct the first time.
If they are brought back, it will be to suffer.

Firstly, from what I remember it was mainly human hunting that wiped out mammoths, not climate change. Secondly, they would help stabilize tundra biomes and prevent soil erosion and permafrost thawing which is a significant contributor to greenhouse gasses

This subreddit suffers from a lot of the same problems as /r/mademesmile: a ton of surface-level feel-good stories that only make people with below average critical thinking skills feel good.
