That choked me up a little. My little sister met John Denver through Make-A-Wish but neither made it very long. The beauty of these meetings is uplifting enough as it is, even when things end as expected. This story is a beautiful counterpoint for which I am very grateful.

Love seeing Steve. He’s looking healthy! So glad he’s gotten over his heroin and crack addiction!

I wanna meet Steve. On general principles. I want to meet someone as cool as him. Never met Fred Rogers, Steve Burns is, like, same tier.

Can certainly imagine, the way I think about it is you never get over it, you just think about it less as time moves on and everytime you think about it it hurts that little bit less but never stops hurting.....

I actually used to eat lunch with Steve in high school for a semester. He is a great guy very funny even back then. So glad to hear that he got to make this reunion.
