We wake up every morning and see Canada across the water on one side, and snowy mountain peaks on the other.

Same! I'm thrilled every single morning to look towards Hurricane Ridge on one side, and the straight on the other. I grew up in SW Washington, but this is definitely my home.

I can ski in the morning, rock climb on the elwha in the afternoon and surf the evening sess in one day. Replace with sailing, fishing, hiking as you see fit!
