And that is how I went from living in the Midwest to living in Washington state. When I visited my grad school visit, I fell in love immediately, especially the mountains- I studied them in grad school (at CWU in Ellensburg) from 2011-2013. After grad school I moved back to Iowa and cried when I crossed the border into Idaho. Spent 2.5 years plotting to get back here and finally got the chance thanks to a job offer in 2015. I’ll never live anywhere else.
