Those things deteriorate and fade the moment you breathe on them. They've used the same ink/paper for at least the last 10 years.
Probably super recent and got tossed with the antler after cleaning/transportation.

They use that plastic paper stuff for everything from game tags to parking permits. There's no way to know once the thermal ink fades.

I figured that, I just couldn't remember when they started using that type of paper, and that would at least give me an idea of how old it possibly could be

I found this wrapped around an antler on the beach today. I can't figure out how to post more than one pic though. Just curious about how long it has been in the water.
