Probably way earlier/later in the season. I don't think there's any snow at the moment (based on a recent friends hiking photos)

100%. And for those who have never been, it's a very nice paved and scenic drive. I highly recommend a day trip.

I’ve done it as a side trip on the way from Vancouver, BC to Portland. Absolutely worth it.
