Thanks for the info. I'm going to keep trying. I found some info about the vegetation on the west but I can't find anything about the east lol

There is a lot to the east. Once you get out of the Spokane metro area head for the hills. Lots of huckleberry (and the occasional bear) so just be careful. Spokane can be a great place and it can also suck just like anywhere else. You are not far from incredibly beautiful country. Go Zags!
