Feeley Dental on Mountain Street. The dentist and his staff are great. I was in a similar situation and hadn't been to the dentist in years.

Same! I have followed Dr. Feeley since before he struck out on his own.

No judgement and he is careful and caring.

I'll Third this. Started seeing him at his old location downtown. Went there after I got a 20k quote from Aspen dental of stuff I didn't need. He is great, no judgement, just wants to see you have a healthy mouth and will go out of his way to help you accomplish that.

He is also very very liberal with Novocaine, he goes out of his way to make sure you don't feel any pain and that you always have enough Novocaine. No getting around some other feelings unfortunately.

His dental hygienists are great too, they are all super nice and do a great job. Their Front desk/office people have always fantastic too.

His new location is even better, cause you don't have to pay for parking anymore.

Besides that stunning endorsement for Feeley, the biggest piece of advice I can give anyone is to stay away from chain dental practices like Aspen Dental, Genital Dental, etc. They all want your wallet, not you to have a healthy mouth. The second piece of advice would be find a practice that is run by 1 or 2 dentists themselves, not a practice owned by someone else that hires dentists. I say this because those tend to be cash cow dental mills just like their chain dental practices old brothers, just on a smaller scale.

Weird question but for cleanings at Feeley do they use that metallic pick or one of those hypersonic picks? I struggle with cleanings with that metal pick so I am looking for a place with the water hypersonic one.

Also I think you mean Gentle Dental and not Genital Dental. Although if Genital Dental exists please let me know where it is.

I think they have both, they numbed me up pretty good so it didn't really matter to me much lol I am sure they wouldn't mind answering your question if you give them a call. But like I said they will numb you up for a cleaning if you ask, if thats why you don't like metal that is.

Also you are right, I spelled that wrong. But for comical reasons I will not be correcting it hahaha

THEY USE THE WATER PICK! I had never used one before and once they used it they were able to clear out a huge calculus of tartar on my teeth. No scraping needed, such a huge weight off of my shoulders. The scraping is the worst part for me.
