How do we interpret this "magic". It's clear that OP wanted it to be your generic magical magic, but what if we were to subvert the expectations by interpreting it differently?
What if it's called the "dimension of magic" because it's used in making "pocket dimensions" (closed off rooms somwhere along the new axis) and other multi-dimensional, near-magical tech?
