They're sometimes in the "exotic fruit" sections of grocery stores. If you can make it to H-mart they'll have them (fresh and dried) for sure. If you're interested in foraging American Persimmons, there's a tree on Hopkins Homewood campus along Charles street. I think there's also a street tree on 27th and Maryland, somewhere thereabouts.
