Anywhere that isn’t the inner harbor.

Nothing outstanding in the immediate Inner Harbor area- best bet would be go to LP Steamers in Locus Point- can walk from Inner Harbor or ride the Banner Circulator. Nicks Fish House is also a short Uber ride away.

No good seafood in the inner harbor. Try LP Steamers, Jimmy’s Seafood, or Thames Street Oyster House.

OR, best classic (not fancy) seafood in Baltimore in general?

There are other markets like it, not as big, but still worth going to. The place I mentioned Sals is located inside the Broadway Market in Fells Point. The other joint is in Federal Hill and it’s called Cross Street Market.

Maryland crab soup or the cream-type chowder type of crab soup? MD crab soup is a tomato-vegetable broth base, a bit of spice (and sometimes, short rib). The best version in the city is Faidley's at Lexington.

Wife and I went to Local Oyster right near the BMI. Really, really tasty oysters. I had fried sampler and enjoyed it. Defo going back.

I adore LP Steamers because it is NOT fancy. It is NOT touristy. It is small. It is simple. If there isn't a table available, you wait. Menu, order, eat, leave. Bags of chips. Plastic cups of beer. Softshell crab sandwiches on white brad with lettuce tomato and Mayo. Heaven.

Koko's Pub for Crab Cakes, Faidley's for an old Baltimore staple style of crab cakes, LP steamers for crabs, steamed shrimp, or soft shell sandwiches, The Penny Black for mussels.

Anyplace that has Rockfish or Snakehead on the menu probably does it decently, but I can't think of anyone that consistently gets those in (Myth and Moonshine used to be my go to, but they have since closed).
