no, they pulled over a car fitting the description but it turned out to be an uber driver
Feel like BPD did pretty good there. Glad everyone’s ok
Something similar happened to a Hopkins student recently. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the same group of people.
The MO, the description of the car (light colored sedan), and it being three guys all match the descriptions from the stuff that was going on around the Hopkins campus a month or two ago. I hope the police make the connection to the other cases even though this one happened in a different district. Would be nice to get clarification on that and put those cases to bed.
I didn’t hear anything about this, and I live in the neighborhood! Yikes!

Take it easy there boss, and explain your crime plan.
Better yet, stay in the county and kick rocks.

Fix it for us then. Whatcha got?
You can disapprove of leadership without being the replacement plan you know
You told leadership to “shut the fuck up with that bullshit and step the fuck out of office you moron”. Only a moron would spout that bullshit and then claim to be no fucking smarter.
And you can gtfo if you have nothing worthwhile, db.
Never speak on a problem without having a solution. Grandma told me that
Right. But Baltimore problems are like regular problems with a surly disposition and a loaded firearm. I think the best thing that can be said about Hizzoner's Crime Plan is that shootings aren't getting worse. We settled out at what, like 1,100 shootings, 330 of which succeeded. I'm not a criminologist and don't have a plan. But if the best you can say is that you managed to keep one of the most murdery places in the country the same, I'd say you're fair game to get critiqued from the cheap seats and keyboard jockeys on reddit.
Yeah, but treading water on the murder rate while the overall population total is dropping…not exactly what I’d call progress.
Not at all. He made some specific promises if I recall. Seems like he was utterly unprepared for how entrenched it all is.
He grew up in Park Heights
Scott grew up in the city’s Park Heights neighborhood, the oldest of three boys.
During his campaign, Scott frequently spoke of how his childhood experiences shaped him and motivated him to run for public office.
“I was raised literally at the corner of Cold Spring and Pimlico,” he said in a television campaign ad. "Guns. Drugs. Violence. Every single night. I remember asking, ‘Why doesn’t anyone care?’ My mom said, ‘If you want it to change, you have to change it yourself.’ And that’s when I knew that I had to serve.”
It could be family members, or friend of family that are involved in some pretty rough things here in Baltimore. So if he goes to hard on crime it puts him in a very awkward position.
I think the guy's heart is in the right place. I recall him out there during the riots, right out in front, trying to bring it to a close. No matter how critical I am of his performance, my respect for him will remain for that act. As opposed to our then Mayor, SRB, who literally disappeared for hours. But I also think the Peter principle applies here, and that's a shame.
There has to be something to it though. But I don't think folks are understanding what I am getting at.
Do you live in Mayor Scott’s jurisdiction?

It is an interesting case. It was 2 victims but they left one (believe it was a guy and fiancé) took the guy and started to drive him to ATMs, meanwhile the fiancé could track his phone and the responding officers to used the fiancé to track him. BPD with in an increase deployment was able to get to the abductee pretty quick and then get all the jabronis that abducted him.
