Also, you definitly want to check J.G. Ballard's tetralogy on elemental apocalypses (although one of the four book is no longer edited per author's choice) which are The Wind from Nowhere, The Drowned, Burning and Crystal World (The Burning World is also named The Drought).
Beautiful poetic writing, powerful and his characters are amazing.

I am kinda afraid of this voluminous work! But gonna check this out nonetheless. Thank you!

Don't. Each novel is relatively short and is to be taken independently. Each describes an end of the world/post-apocalyptic situation based on a natural catastrophic event (i.e. heat, draught, cold or wind) and the struggle of survivors to continue to live in this environment. Very romantic, beautiful and organic descriptions, tremendous and lasting sensations. You won't be disappointed.
Have a good read my friend. 🙂

It sounds intriguing now my friend. This can be my starting point of this genre. Thanks again.
