Check out Fincher's movie adaptation if you haven't. I thought it was really good in relation to the book. As for something similar, I'd recommend Before I Go to Sleep by S.J. Watson, In the Woods by Tana French, and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which has also been turned into a film. You can look through Gillian Flynn's other books as well, since there are some pretty good reads like Dark Places.
