Also highly recommend, completely changed the way I look at technological advancement and human nature. Great novel!

The sequel is a tad disappointing, as it lacks the epic scope of the first , but it is still worth a read .

I fully agree with you and this book has to be one of the best ever dystopian future books that was ever written.

If you liked this book try Ridley Walker. It was the inspiration for Mad Max 3, at least the first half before all the tina turner pig poo stuff.

Agreed. A great book. I think it's a little inaccessible for people with no background in religion though. Worth the struggle.

Apologies, but your post does not contain enough for people to engage in conversation. Do you have something else to say about the book that you could edit into the text? Let me know if you edit it and I will reinstate your post.

Or, if you would prefer to share quick/brief reactions to a book you are currently reading or recently finished, you can comment in our weekly What We're Reading thread, accessible from our header atop the sub. Your book may even appear in the sub banner! Thank you.

I am sorry to see that this perfectly good post was unnecessarily removed by an over officious and thoughtless moderator. I don't know if your award stays or goes so check the awards section of your profile.

PS Just for the record, l thought you fully deserved that award.

I think this was a wholly unnecessary intervention and all it does is upset people who are already interested in books. That aspect should be encouraged and not denigrated.

OP is more than welcome to edit their post to be about books and not about learning how to make electrical diagrams. This is a books subreddit not an amateur electrician subreddit.

I believe your award stays, only your post has been removed from the sub.

You are welcome to edit your post to talk about the Canticle book. If you include enough detail to get the discussion going it can be approved.

Such an attitude is both haughty and compassionless. As far as l know no one actually complained about this post and people were actively and positively replying to this post. We should all be encouraging new readers and new posters because helping to develop a love of reading is priceless.

Thanks da_Ryan. I've been around on Reddit for a while and come to expect stuff like this. I'm not fussed. People got to be officious about something I suppose.

For the record, my profile says I was awarded the Ally reward, but when I click on the award it says I don't have any... so I guess I don't.
