I can't shut up about this book. Is there any other woman out there, that is swooning so hard about the main character ? It seems I can't even function normally. I just want to die to be in the place of Signa Farrow.. Help!

Can I please discuss this book in detail with someone so obsessed as me ?

It's strange how I'm diagnosed with depression, I go through hell and back with the side effects, feelings of emptiness, of not belonging and this book literally falls into my hands.

I was in a bookstore, checking for a new book as I finished Verity and I found it at least intermediate level.. and felt like some scify or fantasy.. I picked up some other book, randomly, because I liked the cover it had. Even tho I wasn't really sure about it, but I always end up loving the books and the characters I read. I sat on the chair before the English book section and looked, rested.. and suddenly I see a belladona.. and I'm like, oj well, I love the name.. let me see. I loved the cover as it is covered in the berries, leaves birds.. basically it looked like tattoo and I found that appealing.

I quickly checked the reviews of the book and seen a comment : Gothic, mysterious, romantic.. and I was like.. yep, my kind of vibe.

I didn't know I'm going to fall in love with everything that was included in it. And I'm hoping I'll find someone with similar experience and maybe start a discussion together, bringing out details, visions, fan art...

I'll be looking forward to hear from all of you, who've read Belladonna and fell in love. :))

It's on my reading list for sure but I'm wayyy to confused between The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner, From Below by Darcy Coats and Glint (book 2 in The Plated Prisoner series) by Raven Kennedy. All of them are tempting and I'm struggling to function straight amid this confusion!

Girl, don't even think about it. It was the best gift universe gave me. I read it in 3 days and I'm on my way to buy Foxglove today. :-)) I'll be here to discuss once you're done. Happy reading! ❤️

Oh my! This sounds so compelling. I'm gonna save this link to discuss the book once I finish it! Can't wait to discuss. Been a while I had a book buddy to discuss with otherwise it's only me blabbing about books noone else read 😅

When I first picked it up it seemed like it was being marketed as a standalone but now it’s clear there will be another book. Not a fan of that marketing tactic but that’s the nature of publishing now I suppose. Like you, I was also drawn in by the beautiful cover. I found some of the reveals quite obvious but there are still a lot of questions to answer so I guess that warrants a sequel.

lol I literally stayed up until 5 am last night finishing this book. I really enjoyed it but I would give it a 3.5 out of 5. I unfortunately solved the plot very early on and realized who Sylas was after that very first run in at the garden.

the antagonists background was also super obvious to me so I was a little disappointed that it was so easy to figure out. I kind of felt like the hints were to obvious but the characters still kept me very engaged and who would have thought I'd be swooning over death himself.

I am glad its not a stand alone because there was still so many unanswered questions at the end. Like why was Signa's parents murdered? How? Why? is she like death?

I'm so curious about Fate I'm excited to see where he fits into everything.

Yaaas! I mean, yes the plot is.. okay. I'm more interested in the characters. I can't stop thinking about them.. and death ? My God, he is so charismatic. He is personalisation of everything I love about a being. Polite, reserved yet so sexy.. I like that he keeps his distance. Sometimes I was so mad at the Signa.. especially when she was having a tea with the socialites.. like, why is she wasting her time..

About the Sylas, there was obviously something wrong with them.. but I didn't reckon he was the same person.. so that was a twist for me. LOL, it could be that I'm not used to reading books like this as I read more the "smart book" and needed a break. Safe to say, I'll stay away from those books from now on and read a bit of fantasy. 😀

I swoon over the Death. It was actually strong enough that I want to have a piece of "him" on me and I booked appointment at the tattoo artist to always remind me.

BTW. This is what death is like too. Not this grim reaper ( unless you deserve it I guess? ), but the helper to transfer.. its magical and beautiful with a veil of mystery. I have goosebumps.. maybe I'm taking it a little bit more personal too. :-)

Thanks for your feedback too.
