Traffic jam? Driver at the terminus too busy watching TikToks / smoking, hence unable to depart on time?

I'm not talking about the usual crawl between Harvard Square and Central, or the fact that it generally doesn't adhere to any schedule. It seems like a new regression in the past week where it literally comes to a halt several times between each stop?

I don't see any alerts on MBTA site so does that mean it's the new normal?

Does anyone at MBTA care?

Cutbacks. The stick was shortened and the donkey keeps getting the carrot so the engineer has to hop out and put on a new carrot.

“Slow zones” on the red line have escalated significantly recently. Don’t know all the details, but guessing it’s related to issues with the tracks themselves.

The MBTA has not been very transparent about this. 3rd party trackers and advocates have been making most of the noise about this issue worsening in recent weeks and months.
