Highways are much smoother than local roads. If they put in a fraction of the effort we could have butter smooth bike lanes that would last year's longer

Most of the power goes into overcoming air resistance, not going over bumps. Smooth roads aren't going to reduce the power needed.

u/raabbasi - even using them. You can turn them on or off while driving, but nothing else.

I don’t see that exception in the state’s description.
There only exception I read is touching to enable hands-free.
It reads like the GPS “activation” must be done without touching.
Touching for apps is right out.
