It's located near the Greek church in Central Square. I've walked by it a few times and seen Greek bouncers outside. It seems like it moonlights as a salsa club.
But...what exactly is it? Does it have a day function? Is it an actual place for Greeks to go?
Greek American Political Club.
It is a social club. But they rent out their function hall.
A lot of these social clubs will accept anyone who wants to join. They're mostly run by old guys who just want a clubhouse to hang out in. They almost never have much of a web presence. Just walk up and ask, they're likely to be friendly!
I think the salsa might be at Havana Club (which potentially meets in the Greek Club space?).

It is indeed. It used to be our Sat night destination when it was a hidden gem.

OP: Along the same lines, there is also a Polish American Citizens Club in Dorchester. Quiet, low key vibe the few times I've been there with friends.

My family used to live on that street and go to that church. It'd be fun to talk to some old timers. I thought it was maybe a veterans hall, knights of columbus kinda thing, but wanted to make sure I wasn't like, accidentally walking into a mafia den

My friends and I were members of a veterans club for a few years, despite not being veterans. We were in our 30s and 40s and they called us "the kids." $30 a year membership, cheap drinks, Keno, talking shit with old-timers. We wound up moving to the other side of town but it was fun.
Salsa night is open to the public. I wandered in from the bar that used to be next door a few times and had a lot of fun.
They have a huge block party for one of the holidays, it looks fun.
I'm guessing you're a fellow Greek-American? I've been there once for a function and the patrons by the bar and playing tavli were as oldschool (emphasis on old) Greek as you'd expect. They had a portrait of Kolokotroni on the wall so they're legit enough. I never got the deal with their association though, if any - I've always assumed Sts Constantine and Helen. But who knows, maybe they're secular? tl;dr I wish I knew.

I'm too distantly related to really consider myself one, that part of my family is a bit lost to me. But I know they all used to live next to that church so I thought it might be a good place to go to get a feel for my family
Alas the glory will be short lived until the Turkish American Culinary Club blow up their walls with their Köfte cannons.
Years ago I got to know the manager and staff well. One of dozens of private clubs in Cambridge with a liquor license. Sparse membership. Renting of space cheap for whatever.
It's kind of a continuum from one to the other category there...
If I wanted to just check the place out and meet some of the members do I just... knock when it looks like they're open?
