I had doubts that the police would do anything with that information, would they actually just go and ask? Also seemed drastic to me when Lyft hasn't even gotten a response back yet, I'm not a karen but did at least think I'd get a confirmation that the driver was aware and would look for it when they can :P

People are weird. You'd think they'd want to clear up that situation fast -- risking their ability to drive for Lyft doesn't seem worth it for a phone that IIRC can be flagged to brick itself remotely if marked stolen. I can see if the driver was stupid and gave it to a friend to sell before thinking it through, they might be in a bit of a pickle and not willing to pick up the phone.

I expected lyft to tell me that they'd definitely make contact, but they are seemingly telling me that since they aren't getting a response there's nothing more they can do. I would've thought they'd be able to call someone who works for them.
