You can but it would be a lot cheaper if you took the subway

Cheaper but potentially more of a headache. Pick your poison.

I mean, most likely not. You transfer once, and then are pretty much there when you step out.

With Uber you have to worry about if the location drops you in the right place, drivers canceling on you, tunnel/ bridge traffic, them finding a decent spot to actually drop you off.

Unless you have never used public transit in your life, I would say use the T.

My only point is that the T is great, until it isnt. But your points are valid.

Just get a taxi, its cheaper, requires no planning, and they are always there waiting for arrivals.

depends on the when too...key tunnel from the airport to downtown closes many non holiday weekends and some periods of the day there can be be some traffic delays. Blue line to Aquarium Station leaves you about just a few minute walk to the garden.

Or Blue to Government Center, then Green to North Station, and voila, you're there.

true, possibly faster than walking the 10 minutes...unless the green line is acting like the green line. ;-)

Then again, if it's raining or snowing out ... a little extra time to keep a roof between you and the weather might be a worthwhile investment. :)

Also also, we don't know if the OP might have luggage in tow. Probably not, given where he's going ... but not impossible.
