When you can get it serviced, get the carb cleaned and then fill it with ethanol free gas from Home D or Lowes then run it periodically. You then don’t have to worry about the carb varnish and gum etc.

I've definitely called out before if the risk was icy like this when going home, especially if you drive at all. made the mistake not to once :|
