Drove someone to the airport at 4:30am - the roads are still hard to drive without any other cars. None of the lights are timed, and still you are turning every 3 seconds to go a new direction.
And yet, the usual 35 minute trip took 15 minutes. Not bad. If normal Boston driving is a 3/10 driving at 4:30am is a 7/10.
Though on storrow there was an ambulance with its lights on going 30. We were all a little confused about that. Do we pass it? I mean, I didn't. But we were going 45-55 before catching up to it! The problem solved itself when the speed limit on storrow increased to 40 and the ambulance sped up to 50.
It makes me wonder what an ambulance going down jamaicaway is like!

Yellow flashing = ROW
Red flashing = yield to cross-traffic
Ambulance without emergency lights on is to be treated as just a regular vehicle. 30mph is the speed limit in most places, so they should be going 30mph.

The comment said the lights were on though

Red flashing is equivalent to a stop sign

Not yield

A stop sign = yield to traffic that has the ROW.
It means the same thing.

Yield and stop are not the same thing.
