Drinkwater’s in Cambridge.

They’ve done all manner of alterations for me over the years—simple and otherwise.

Ask for Gary, and they’ll get you sorted.

I’ve heard of drinkwaters. Seems the also sell clothing that looks very nice. Is it pricey in there? I know you have to pay for quality but the cost in most seaport stores I’ve been to recently is outrageous

I’ve had blazers taken in for $30; peacoats and overcoats for $40-50.

Darts; hemming; tapering like $20 per piece.

2-4 week turnaround usually.

I’d say it’s worth the money.

Fleet Street Dry Cleaner is fantastic she does a great job on jeans and I’ve had dress shirt sleeves tailored as well.

It’s a bit of a trek since she moved locations. But Tina at Orchid Cleaners in newton is a GEM. Excellent seamstress. She’s repaired, taken in, and hemmed many things for me over the years. And I have a dad who’s particular about the way his shirts are pressed and he swears by her work.
