Jailbreak your device (for free) and your SD card will work. PLEASE don't spend money on an official card..

well if you don’t hack it, then you need a proprietary memory card by sony, so it would detect the card, although your files on the internal memory card cannot be used, it’s weird, after that though you would have an option to transfer the files to the memory card inserted, it might take a while, then you should be up and ready to go, you might get a notice to update.
