Took me a while to figure this out. 1 lakh is 100,000. 1 crore is 10 million. So 1 lakh crore is 1 trillion. 3 trillion rupees is about $12 36 billion USD

Remember you ultimately want to turn data into actions or insight. This is often done thru visualization. Often designers of Infographics are only interested in making a viz. Which is why this infographic missed the mark. One tangible suggestion is to add a short explanation of the metrics used which may help tie the story together better.

58% of Large Infrastructure Projects are delayed leading to a cost overrun of more than Rs. 3 lakh crore. The Government informed the Parliament on Monday that Road & Railway projects are on top regarding delays and cost escalation.
