impacts: "In summary, whereas heavy goods vehicles speed limits in motorways are in line with the optimum speed in terms of energy and CO2 reductions per vehicle-km (80–90 km/h), decreasing car passenger speed limits in motorways could lead to substantial benefits." "On the other hand, energy and emissions benefits from more stringent speed limits on local roads (e.g. from 50 to 30 km/h) are less clear. The key argument for lower speeds on local roads is therefore the desirability of a safer and more tranquil local environment, rather than environmental considerations."

There are 2 colours for 140 km/h. You might want to correct that...

We have highways in the Philippines! The busiest one is called EDSA located in Metro Manila, which has a speed limit of 60kph.

I feel like some countries should have multiple colors. The Netherlands, for example, has a speed limit of 130 as shown here - but that’s only between 7PM and 6AM. The remaining 13 hours of high traffic the limit is 100. Speaking of a limit of 100 - which of the colors marks that particular limit? The legend should display limits as 90-99 or 91-100 to avoid confusion.

There is still a short stretch of road in NT, Australia that has no speed limit

hungary is dark purple here, however the motorway speed limit is 130km/h matching most of europe. There might be a translation issue in sourcing the data, in some sources highway might mean single lane main road vs multi-lane carriageway / motorway

Don’t lie Netherlands, you guys are 100km/h for 95% of the times.

Yes, but there is no general speed limit on freeways (Autobahn), so thats technically correct.

And local speed limts can be and often are lower in every country than the general speed limit, not just germany.
