Your legend colors don't really match the map colors, why are there more shades of green or red in the map than on the legend?

Some areas are managed by more than one entity. They overlap. This is why there is some transparency to the colors.

Who controls the bright red areas?

I think it's supposed to be national park services but the colors of the legend are way off.

Missing Clear Lake :(. I do like the concept of this map, but I feel like a second draft (in line with all the comments so far) could be a lot better

I think a more effective visualization would be federal lands in gradiated color values, contrasting with state lands, private lands, cities, and tribal lands, and water.

The shading is a little hard to follow, but this is a great map. Thanks.
