I don't really understand how... considering all money is made up, that the entire world can be inflating so rapidly, everywhere, all at the same time..
It's all due to supply constraints from covid?

Yes. China is still in covid zero, so they don't have demand like the rest of the world, hence why their inflation is at the normal 2%
