It means it doesn’t contain chemicals that cause damage to the body. Some people are concerned about long term exposure such as ingesting residue or getting it on their skin that some folks may be sensitive to.

Also non-toxic means that if it is accidentally ingested in concentrated form or gets on the skin or in the eyes it shouldn’t cause severe damage usually caused by chemicals

In the US, it means it does not consist of ingredients which are known to be toxic - to cause illness, disability, or death. This includes ingestion, contact, and airborne toxins, both short-term and long term. Furthermore, it's restricted to only reasonable use/exposure - everything up to and including water will poison you if you eat/drink enough of it, after all!

I need to point out that everything you encounter and interact with, including the oxygen that you breath, is a chemical. Please don't use language like this, it just perpetuates anti-science nonsense

It means you will not die from ingesting an incidental amount whatever it is. everything has limits though. Drinking water has its limit, our livers can only process about 3.75 gallons per day, any more than that and you'll drown. Nontoxic does not mean you can't be uncomfortable after ingesting said material. Not dying from ingestion of a nontoxic item and being comfortable are not synonyms.

Of course everything is made of chemicals, when referring to chemicals I mean the ones that are harmful.

I'm very glad that you recognize the difference, but saying "dangerous chemicals" instead of just "chemicals" prevents others that don't understand the difference as well from perpetuating anti-science nonsense.
