Most windows are directional in that the exterior side is generally self flashing and have weep holes.
When I did new construction inspections I would fail the insulation inspection and they would not receive a pass until it was done properly.

The frames are in the correct way but some glass panels are in the wrong way around. I'm not sure how much of a negative impact it'll have, or just that I lose the positive impact.
