I think that’s the general consensus but personally I’m a bigger fan of steaks. I don’t really like the rabe and Provolone that much, wish I did though

Not in my experience. Cheesesteaks all the way.

I do personally prefer the chopped cheese. I just love addition of the tomato and lettuce in there with a skoosh of mayo.

I’m a sucker for cheesesteak hoagies so I think chopped cheese would be a tier above steaks for me

It’s easier to make at home than the OG cheesesteak. You can use hamburger Patties and chop them up or just use plain ground beef, melt American cheese into it with a diced onion, too with lettuce tomato ketchup Mayo on a sub roll.

I have 3 lbs of frozen raw ground beef leftover from Christmas Eve. Maybe I’ll make homemade chopped cheeses soon!

Use shredded iceberg lettuce, the shittiest kind you can buy at the grocery store and make sure to really fold the cheese into the meat

“I don’t know how to fold broken cheese like that!”

Haha I more than likely will not buy iceberg cause we won’t use it, but when I want that vibe for sandwiches/burgers I use the bottom part of Romaine hearts that are kinda pale yellow. Not the same but gets the job done
