It’s the same thing, but the pixar version specifically shows this variation of the dish. Traditional ratatouille is much more rustic and has a more stew like preparation and presentation. They’re the same dish though.

Don't you have to make a base/sauce for a confit byaldi? I feel like it would be very bland otherwise.
