I chopped the top of my left hand middle finger off in cooking school. It’s weirdly liberating flipping everyone off for a few weeks while your finger heals. You also took a great pic here.

And hope you get better quick! :-)

The other option would be make all other fingers to be straight like that.

I hope you get better soon, but how did it it happen to the most socially important finger?

Ha ha, I love that classification of the middle finger. And it's so dumb, but I was putting away a ladder (we have one of those Little Giant ladders, so flexible but also very heavy), and there was some crushing. A very stupid mistake.

I had a cast like that on two of my fingers when I was a kid. I smashed my fingers. I was like a claw man I thought it was so cool.

I remember in middle school our music teacher cut the tip of her middle finger off while cutting veggies and the doctors surgically glued it back on, and she had to sit in class for a few days flipping us off and explicitly said “i swear im not flipping you guys off, i have to keep this elevated, doctors orders”. I mean the thick bandage kind of gave it away but it was still funny as kids.

When you remove the splint moving your finger will be painful as hell. Might even be worse than when you broke it. I’ve broken 3 fingers in my life, so speaking from experience.

I remember when I broke my ring finger and had the same device - but obviously not with the same effect as this one😅
