What does "save green belt" even mean?

There is a forest that goes around Toronto. Its referred to as the Greenbelt. It’s supposed to be protected land for recreation and wildlife, but the premier of Onatrio (Canada equivalent to a US governor) is trying to sell some of the land to private developers and its quite controversial in Ontario as you can imagine.

Typical Torontonian, the green belt covers large areas of Ontario, not just Toronto lol.

I'm actually over in Ottawa, and I guess I just assumed it was similar to Ottawa's greenbelt. I'm somewhat new to Ontario in general.

Don't throw out your belt after St Patty's. Save it and wear it again next year.
