Not to knock your vintage cool box, but did you ever check just how much power that uses?

I was more concerned about having a fridge than not having one. This cost me $100. When I got a new fridge it cost me $900. It just wasn't in my budget at the time. It costs about the same as my new fridge.

I sold one of these fridges to a collector for 1500 in 2010. You should be able to sell/trade it to the right person for enough money to walk into a bestbuy and pick up a new fridge, playstation, Xbox, and iPad.

I plan to turn it into a kegerator and try to sell it for about $2,500. They'll run forever if mice don't eat the wires. Also all the wiring was replaced by the last owner with rubber coated wires. He told me it has paper coated wires originally.
