Or birds that prey on other predator and prey bird indiscriminately? There's picking fights with and eating finches and sparrows, then there's picking fights with eagles - then fighting the thing that eats eagles.

I say the cat would murder that owl 9 times out of 10 if it came down to it, but the owl would probably successfully intimidate the cat 9 times out of 10.

Owls prey on pretty much everything, including eagles. The cat would be lunch 99/100 encounters.

You would think the plethora of images you can find online of great horned owls killing cats and the fact that they are known for killing and eating cats would make you realize you have no idea what you are talking about.
