This is the first time I've heard of this game...I'm intrigued.

Be warned it's delisted pretty much everywhere so the only way to play it now is to pirate it. If you manage to get it running you're in for a treat. It's a game where your character is an artic explorer who falls into a hole made by a ship that crashed and froze into the ice. So the entire game is you exploring this cold ship frozen in time (literally). it's one of the most unique horror experiences i've ever played by far, especially the healing mechanic where you have to either light or find small fires on the ship to warm yourself up otherwise your health is always gonna be a quarter full

Very nice game imho, made me shed a tear at the end. Though, maybe it will not have the same effect on non-slavs, who knows.

I remember watching the PhysX demos of the water melting in 2009, that was so revolutionary at the time. Fun game!

I enjoyed Cryostasis a lot. I was pleasantly surprised by its story as well.

Was this the one where you had to run between heat sources?

This was a gem of a narrative horror, driven action game with a super unique element.

Essentially you were going through a ruined ship, finding critical points of failure that led to it's ruin.

You'd go back in time to when shit went down and fix whatever went wrong slowly progressing the story.

Mixed in with a storybook children horror narrative it was super unique and engaging.
