The logical explanation is they want him to feel older than the previous game, or a bit more "wild". But you dont fuck with an anime pretty boy's face, so magically only the back of his hair grows long and the front stays shorter to show his face and keep more or less the iconic Link look.

I’m pretty sure Mythbusters has put multiple MacGyverisms to the text. Honestly, even though it’s not the most scientifically accurate show, one of the best parts is his narration. It’s one of the reasons I loved Burn Notice so much (I’m old).

Ok so my coworker was telling me Abt the new Legend of Zelda game and me not being a big Zelda guy in general was kinda "eh" about it. Didn't realize it was going to be like Breath of the Wild in the sense of "vastness". I'd be down to play it but I don't really wanna go get a Switch just for that one game lol. Game looks fun ngl and will definitely be watching gameplay of it. If anyone knows of any good content creators lemme know!

Link actually had a mullet in BotW too. He just had it tied up in a ponytail in the back so it wasn't noticeable.

He didn't grow his hair out or anything, he just lost his hair tie.
