I was wondering how Cyberpunk is now. I tried a pirated version when I first got my gaming laptop but the game was weird to play and my characters face was very low quality for some reason. Now I've been hearing good things and was wondering what state it was in from people who have been playing it.

Because Cyberpunk was made by inexperienced amateurs

Perfectly playable and pretty good. At least on higher-end PCs and/or the current-gen consoles.

I have a ryzen 7 4800h and a rtx 2060 so I have dlss as an option and it rand alright. Just some of the textures ended up looking like they had been pasted over sandpaper at the time I tried. Maybe it's better now.

These pirate versions have spyware hope you had good internet security app running otherwise you might have new process running in the background.

Your specs should run it okay at 1080p medium settings with DLSS Quality.

dunno about that. read posts on cyberpunk subreddit people found spyware processes running in the background on copies with crack and wihtout it.

Regardless always have internet security software running in the background if you are downloading games and files from torrent scanning these files and blocking inbound and outbound connections they make just in case. I don't trust these but understand sometimes financily you dont have options but do protect your system at least.

Why wouldn’t there be..? Piracy has effectively been around as long as the distribution of software as a whole

Oh ya I know they were there before in like the early days. But I figured with modern day tech it'd be made unplayable or something.

Welp, no software is unpiratable. Besiedes CDPR themselves said that they wouldn't add piracy protection in CP2077 as with all their other games.
