Not bad. Though too many open world games. Can be very overwhelming.

I rather have a great story and a small sandbox than a massive open world and terrible story.

It seems that quality has gone down while quantity has gone up.

A lot of titles and/or DLCs had rather low quality and new releases seem to come on a daily basis.

Doom eternal has shown that there is still room for innovation In fps games. And elden ring has shown that there is still a high demand for single player games. Triple A studios still got it in them to create high quality masterpieces that will last decades.

Sturgeon's Law: 90% of everything is crap.

In 10 years someone will think this was the greatest year in gaming ever because 15 of the 150 games released this year will actually be decent. The rest will be crap.
