Didn't Guardians of the Galaxy come out with a game like a year ago?
Harry Potter has a game coming out soon.
Granted, former is a comic and latter is a book, but the games are based on the movies.
Fairly certain we've gotten Star Wars recently, too.
the guardians game wasnt based on the movie version and harry potter also isnt the based on the movies either
Idk, i just suddenly remembered that there were video games based even on mediocre movies.
Why would you want more when we already have the spongebob movie game?
Because they suck
Because there was never a single good one.
How about king kong 2005? And there were also few decent videogames
Remember super Mario bros? You know, the game based off that horrible movie?
That game was really awesome
They still exist just they are mobile games now. They are way cheaper to make make and way more money.
None of those were based on the movies though.
Goldeneye
All movies went horriable after -00
Yeah, it really is. Went back and played it about 6-8 weeks ago and it really does hold up quite well
They're all Fortnite skins now. Much cheaper to make and sell more of them than you would copies of the game = big profits
Yeah they all sucked BUT, I did love the star wars III game, the cars game and even the finding Nemo game. I'msure I can think of more.
Also I believe they're working on a tie in Dune game. And what about that Mad Max game ? People seemed to like that.

LotR The Two Towers & Return of the King for the PS2.
Right? People play these gamss then make posts saying "im done with gaming" then you ask them what they play and go "uhhh warzone valorant lol pokémon and overwatch 2"
These people will also call you boomers when you critisize modern gaming
Holy shit, you're probably right. Hadn't considered this.
Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher's Bay disagrees. (Definitely more of an exception though)
Toy Story 2 and Bugs Life for PSONe are amazing classics.
I second that. What movie do you even want as a game?
Usually movie games were made to be out relatively close to the movie release. It was already very hard to release a good game in the given timeframe, but with dev time getting quite longer now, it might be a big struggle to have something at least decent, also a bad game can get a lot more bad press these days than back then, could really hurt the brand more than the need to have a game.

Because they pretty much all sucked and developers started making games inspired by films using the IP instead of direct adaptations
